Results of Chemical Recycling Demonstration Using Post-Consumer Socks

Bioworks conducted a collection and recycling demonstration project using post-consumer socks as part of its efforts to establish and socially implement chemical recycling technologies for products made with PlaX™, its next-generation synthetic fiber.

This project was carried out with support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Social Issues–Driven Startup Support Program (Tokyo Co-inNovators), under its Proof of Concept (PoC) initiative.

The results of the demonstration, together with findings from a questionnaire survey conducted among project participants, are reported in the press release below.
